AboutUs

Rescue Aid Foundation (RAF) is a non-profit Christian humanitarian organization based in Ghana. Our vision is to see all of rural Ghana gain access to basic wants such as education, water and sanitation by 2035.

Our mission is twofold: First, we aim to reach out to needy rural communities in Ghana and support them by providing them with an education that will alleviate them from poverty. Our second goal is to provide every rural household with access to at least seven gallons of water on a daily basis. Furthermore, we are working to make at least one 12 sitter KVIP available in each rural community. Our main focus is on rural Ghana and over the past years, and we have contributed our quota to national development in the rural sector.

In doing so, we have drilled over 7 bore holes for communities in the Eastern, Central and Volta regions of Ghana. We have been involved in several well-drilling in rural Ghana using what we call the EXPO-50 technology drilling bit. Another one of our ongoing projects is the construction of a 12 sitter KVIP at Akropong in the Central region. Additionally, we have three school projects in the Ashanti and Central regions of Ghana.

Further work is being seen in the construction of a $2.7 million dollar Senior High, Technical and Nursing Training College in Abodom, Bewai of the Ashanti region. We have an $85,000 6units classroom in Kyekyewere in the Ashanti region and a $76,000 6unit classroom block in Akroful in the Central region. As mentioned before, we major in education, water and sanitation, and are pursuing many different projects to achieve our aims. We are registered as a legal humanitarian organization in Ghana with  registration number G-24,086.

Rescue Aid Foundation has been helping the people of rural Ghana since 2002 but became administratively operational in the early months of 2005.
